We will most likely document some parts or entire process and possibly look into improving ABM synchronization part where MDM restart is currently required to force sync. If you haven't integrated ABM with MDM, follow the steps given here. Deselect Activate and Complete Enrollment, select Next, then select New Server from the MDM Server dropdown menu and select Next. Select Manual Configuration, then select to add the devices to Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager. On the ABM portal, reassign the device to the server that is integrated with MDM server by following the steps given below. Control-click the selected devices or Blueprints, then choose Prepare. You may input any URL or empty field to skip this step and even though APC2 will output error in step directly following this one it's harmless. By default, these devices are added to the server automatically created by Apple Configurator, named Devices Added by Apple Configurator 2 as shown below. * URL configured in APC2 seems to be only used to preinstall certificates onto device. This can be archieved by restarting MDM service and waiting 2 minutes. * MDM must synchronize with ABM before any progress on device after reset is made and after it's assigned to MDM on ABM server. * Device must be assigned to MDM server on ABM side before any progress on device is made after reset. In the Microsoft Intune admin center, choose Devices > iOS/iPadOS > iOS/iPadOS enrollment > Apple Configurator. * Checkbox "Activate and complete enrollment" must be disabled in APC2. For devices without data SIM this can be archieved by installation of WiFi profile (including valid authentication) via APC2. Mac, click the Supervise icon at the top of the Apple Configurator. * Device must have internet connectivity during erasure phase (You can't input it manually on device). Network & Internet > VPN > Add a VPN Connection > add a name, my server IP, credentials. Hello, after testing addition to ABM via Apple Configurator 2 we found some quirks in process.
